Jordie Benn in the NHL

Congratulations to former Grizzlie Captain, Jordie Benn who was called up to the NHL's Dallas Stars from Jordie's current AHL club and Dallas affiliate, the Texas Stars(City of Ceder Park).
Local lad Jordie, who was one of the best offensive defencemen in the BCHL during his three seasons  with the Grizzlies, appeared in over 160 games and scored over 110 points including a BCHL all-star game appearence. Benn, has worked hard in each year he's been in the pros and has been with the Texas Stars for the last two seasons. After stops with the ECHL's Victoria Salmon Kings and the CHL's Allen American(also a Stars affiliate), Benn has earned his chance.

Jordie's stats in the AHL for the 2011/12 Texas Stars are :

GP      Goals      Asst        Points

31         7             8              15

Jordie, will hopefully make his debut joining his younger brother, current Dallas superstar and former Grizz forward Jamie Benn, against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday in Dallas. What a thrill for both Benn boys and the Benn family

Congratulations to Jordie on making it to the show and well deserved. Grizzlies fans are proud of you!!!
